Sep. 7th, 2003 09:43 amI would just like to make it known that IM is the devil. "Why is it the devil?" you may ask. Well, while chatting through an instant messaging program, one cannot hear the inflection in one's voice. One cannot see reactions, or hear coughs or sighs or yawns or giggles. We can't always say "goodbye," and often we forget to tell others that we're leaving altogether.
I say this because lately, especially with one good friend of mine, I feel like I'm blowing her off when I'm really not. Granted, the conversations she and I have are never really too in depth, but I still feel bad that we can't have a "real" conversation over IM and that I leave her a lot. She's one of THE most awesome people in person, but our IM coversations just suck.
I have to go to my cousin's kid's birthday party today. He's four. His birthday is so easy to remember, and I don't know why any of his aunts, uncles, or great grandparents can remember it. 9/9/99. It was the day of the VMAs and a BF cross country meet.
I got a couple of good hugs yesterday.
I love hugs.
Needed/ desired soon: a date for homecoming.
And plans for weekends.
