it's december

A ton of people are at the Duke game. I was invited, but alas, I'm on duty. I feel like I'm always on duty when I don't wanna be. And I'm always wasting my nights off. Tonight, duty consists of a lousy attempt to watch House, of which I missed all but 15 minutes, freezing, drinking water, not falling asleep, and freezing some more. It's nice that my residents like me, though, and stop by every once in a while.

I really want to go into the city next weekend, but that's a long shot considering finals week follows. I haven't been in forever, and I really don't want to wait until break; it gets so bustle-y during break. If nothing else, I at least have people to go with/meet in Chicago over break. New Year's Eve will probably (hopefully) be spent there with Erin. My cousin Christopher is coming for the holiday as well, so he might be fun to have around. We'll see. My hang up with break is that it's ridiculously long. I get bored at home. I get lonely without my people. It gets depressing sleeping alone, sleeping without drunken giggles echoing through the hall, sleeping knowing that I'm not gonna get a great piece of literature in my mailbox the next morning.

Le sad.

But I'm happy, mostly. Like this. :)
